Looking at mythical animals, we can not get much more mythical that this!
I am unsure whether this is actually Eclair, Bananas, Peanut, Parfait, Coco or Debbie. However, this little cutie is easily recognisable as a dronkey, one of the hybrid offspring of Donkey and Dragon from the Shrek stories. All the dronkeys love their parents, especially their garrulous father, so I was lucky to find this one at an internet auction site so far from home!
No matter how old we get, most of us never fully outgrow the charm of soft fluffy plush toys. Here I would like to share with you some from my collection of cats, bears, bunnies. pups and more. Also I hope you will share some of your favourites with me.

Unicorn Dreams
I thought this gentle soft plush unicorn was a charmingly cute toy when I found it patiently waiting for me on an internet auction site.
He is just so soft to touch, and his furry feet, mane and tail provide extra gentleness. I liked his delicate sky blue colour with its faint iridescent sheen that is accented by pastel pink sparkly paws and horn. He looks so tranquil while sitting quietly there, that he seems to emit soft vibes of relaxation therapy. Of course he is willing to share them with a silky cuddle!

Bears are the All Time Favourite Toys
This is such a cute fawn brown bear with its purple bow.
She is unbelievably soft. A cute bear face is embroidered above her heart and she is wearing a distinctive metallic purple and silver bow behind her ear. Many plush bear toys are lovable but this must be one of the cutest. She definitely is one of the softest, despite having quite shortly cropped fur. I found her at an online auction site but there may be some siblings left...

Garfield the Cat
Garfield the Cat is a character we can all admit to knowing. Even if we do not know the answer to his eternal question!
I do have another smaller Garfield character toy wearing a different shirt which I shall show you later. I bought the one shown here on an internet online auction site but the other was given to me by a friend.

Felix the Cat
Another cute character toy has come my way at an online auction.
And who is going to admit to being old enough to recognise this little guy?!

A Friendly Sheep Inviting Ewe to Play
The main job of this cheerful chappy seems to be encouraging you to smile.
He is just so soft and fluffy and his happy grin is extra cute. I should have bought a flock of these charming feel good toys from the internet auction!

EB the Easter Bunny from the Movie Hop
This is another character toy I bought from an internet auction site, sadly not for myself. EB the Easter Bunny stars in 'Hop'.
A friend and I often watch movies together and she was particularly taken by this cute rabbit. So I bought him for her birthday, having to ship him in from the USA. However, I do not think I can wait until later this year to give him to her, so next time we go out he will have to change homes. If not, he will be staying here with me! EB is about six inches tall. There was a larger version but that one was not as well crafted and it was more like a bunny that merely resembled EB whereas this one is just like him.

Stitch Toy from Disney's Lilo and Stitch
I certainly was quite taken by this little fellow!
Many character toys are unlicensed or badly made, but this is a very realistic version of a popular cartoon character. I almost expect him to tear up my house in a frenzy as he searches for Elvis recordings!

How Now Blue Cow ~ Not to be Confused with a Giraffe
For ages I really thought this was a blue giraffe! I guess it was because of his brown spots. However I finally realised he is a cow, which apparently was obvious to everyone else from the start. Silly me! The short neck should have been the main clue, but if he was blue and not yellow, why should his neck not be shorter as well? Nevertheless he is soft and silky, obviously a bovine trait, and a cute addition to my plush toy collection.

This Tiger is Threatening to be Terribly Romantic
This friendly looking white tiger toy is just so appealing. He is carrying a red satin heart to show is more terribly romantic than terribly dangerous. He is very soft indeed and his paws have cute heart accents on the pads. I have another tiger toy I must show you later, that I bought at the Siegfried and Roy extravaganza just six months before it closed down. I had wanted to see their show ever since I was a child, so the white tigers have always held a special fascination for me. And I am glad I got there in time!

Running Bear and not the Indian!
I was delighted to find this treasure of a bear. What else could he be called but Teddy? As you can see, he is fawn with contrasting mid brown paws.
He is fully jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips so poses readily. He can sit and wave, go for a run or just look like an antique friend waiting to play.
Teddy has a stiffened satin bow trimmed with gold thread and looks like a toy passed down from my Grandma. As I found him hiding on an online auction, though, it seems he came from the Grandma of someone else.

A Grey Fluffy Cat Toy
My collection of fluffy plush cat toys has increased considerably past what I intended! I have all sorts of animals in all sorts of colours to share with you. This first one is a cute grey cat I bought at an online auction. Her feet are embossed with pink paw pads and she has bright green button eyes. This kitty I have named Sunny because she is sold by a company called Sunwood International. Not every one of my toys has a name but many do. Sunny has a small sister I shall introduce another day.
